Uses in perfumery :
Physeol is a woody powdery note with a scent of vetiver, ionones and orris. It provides volume, intensity, warmth, and even a leathery/tobacco-like character in a wide range of applications (pH 5-12). It is particularly interesting with dry woods or enhancing musky notes. In a completely different context, physeol blends well with citrus notes. Although its odor strength is weak, its impact is significant.
